Eric J. West, MD
Dr. Eric West provides specialized care for patients with a wide range of conditions affecting the back, neck and spine. His expertise includes minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal deformity correction and the treatment of complex spinal conditions. Drawing on advanced techniques and innovations in spine care, Dr. West develops individualized treatment plans focused on helping patients restore mobility and return to the activities that are important to them.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, Dr. West attended East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina, to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center-Campbell Clinic in Memphis and went on to complete specialized fellowship training in spine surgery at the University of California San Diego.
Dr. West takes a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care. He takes time to understand each patient’s symptoms, lifestyle, and goals before working with them to determine an appropriate treatment plan. He values making decisions as a team and wants each patient to feel confident that their individual needs and best interests are at the center of their care. For Dr. West, one of the most rewarding aspects of being an orthopedic spine surgeon is seeing patients return to the activities they enjoy.
Interests
Outside of medicine, Dr. West enjoys skiing, making sushi, and spending time with his wife and son. He is also an avid sports fan who follows the Memphis Grizzlies, Liverpool FC, and UNC college basketball. Dr. West and his family enjoy spending time outdoors and taking advantage of Colorado’s parks, recreation, and professional and collegiate sports.
