Dr. Melanie Worley is a fellowship-trained sports medicine expert who specializes in sports-related injuries and conditions. Having completed extensive training in sports medicine, Dr. Worley is highly skilled in the treatment of the ankle, elbow, foot, hand, hip, knee, shoulder, and wrist. She specializes in the nonsurgical treatment of tennis elbow, trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, knee osteoarthritis, rotator cuff tendinopathy and partial tears, and sports injuries through the use of injections and orthobiologics. This includes using the latest techniques and technology to help get patients back to what they love to do.

Dr. Worley earned her Bachelor of Science degree in health and exercise science from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, before attending Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens to complete her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. She then attended Florida State University in Sarasota for her emergency medicine residency before pursuing a sports medicine fellowship at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown. While there, Dr. Worley worked with Division I Big 12 athletes. She is double-board-certified in emergency medicine and sports medicine.

Using a personalized, holistic approach and drawing from her own personal experience as an athlete, Dr. Worley helps patients heal their injuries and return to their athletic and everyday activities as quickly and efficiently as possible. Staying up to date on the latest treatment protocols in the field of sports medicine and understanding each patient’s unique concerns and needs is a key part of optimizing her patients’ care to get them back to doing their favorite activities.

In her free time, Dr. Worley enjoys distance running, triathlons, snowboarding, sports, playing guitar, plant-based cooking, and coffee. She has competed in the Ironman 70.3 world championship and has run the Boston Marathon three times!
