As of March 1, Dr. Austin Chen, total hip care and sports medicine specialist at BoulderCentre for Orthopedics & Spine, will be holding clinics in Denver. Dr. Chen will be available at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center at Professional Plaza West Office Building, 1601 E. 19th Ave., Suite 3550. He will be available at this location on the first Wednesday morning of each month from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. He also sees patients at the practice’s office in Boulder, located at 4740 Pearl Parkway, Suite 200. Holding clinics at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver enables Dr. Chen to offer expanded access to patients of BoulderCentre for Orthopedics & Spine in addition to offering the Denver community and surrounding areas specialized orthopedic care for the hip, knee and shoulder. 

As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with dual-fellowship training in hip preservation and hip reconstruction as well as sports medicine, Dr. Chen offers rare, advanced procedures to repair problems of the hip joint in addition to the latest surgical and nonsurgical treatments for sports-related injuries of the knee and shoulder. Dr. Chen specializes in:

Dr. Chen received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency. After his residency, Dr. Chen chose to undergo extensive specialty training through a sports medicine fellowship at Taos Orthopaedic Institute in Taos, New Mexico. He then completed a second fellowship in hip surgery at the American Hip Institute near Chicago.
