On April 30, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Brian Blackwood completed his 5,000th robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery, marking a major milestone in precision medicine for the Boulder medical community. Utilizing Mako SmartRobotics technology, Dr. Blackwood has become one of the country’s most experienced robotic joint replacement surgeons, and he was honored last year as one of 5280 magazine’s Top Doctors and is also recognized by Castle Connolly.
