“Great visit overall, I thought all but one of Dr Kramer’s recommendations were solid. The basic advice was to go in and clean up the bone spurs and arthritis at some point. I agree completely. Then there was an offhand suggestion that I could qualify for a ankle fusion or ankle replacement because of my age. I would never do that. I bike 4000 miles a year and ski at least fifty days. I won’t see a surgeon that believes a fusion or replacement is a good fit. I saw Dr. Leland 10 years ago for an ankle reconstruction, so I could avoid a fusion. My father had two ankle fusions done at Mayo Clinic and can walk, but not do much else. The advice wasn’t a match for my lifestyle or the severity of my injury. ”
