At BoulderCentre for Orthopedics & Spine, we are dedicated to providing you with high-quality care for all injuries and conditions. Focusing on that commitment, we offer XIAFLEX injections to patients suffering from Dupuytren’s contracture.

This treatment is provided by our dual-fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon, Dr. Daniel Master, and our board-certified fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon Dr. Kathleen Kollitz. XIAFLEX is a nonsurgical treatment that provides relief and helps patients return to the activities they enjoy most.

Dupuytren’s Contracture

This hand deformity slowly progresses over time and affects the tissue within the palm. During its progression, knots of tissue begin to form and accumulate until a thick cord is formed, pulling the fingers into a curved position. This limits mobility and prevents the straightening of your fingers.

XIAFLEX is one of the recommended nonsurgical treatments available for Dupuytren’s contracture, and it is suggested first to help provide relief and possibly treat the condition. In severe cases, surgery may be required.

XIAFLEX

XIAFLEX is a nonsurgical treatment approach to Dupuytren’s contracture that can provide patients with relief. it is injected directly into the collagen cord and does the following:

  • Returns mobility to fingers
  • Provides relief within days
  • Targets the collagen to break down the cord
  • Helps patients avoid undergoing surgery
