At BoulderCentre for Orthopedics & Spine, our physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioner (NP) work closely with our orthopedic doctors to provide the highest level of surgical and nonsurgical care for patients.

Physician assistants and nurse practitioners are highly trained healthcare providers who work under the supervision of our orthopedic doctors. Physician assistants and nurse practitioners are responsible for taking medical histories; conducting exams; diagnosing and treating bone, joint, and muscle injuries and conditions; ordering and interpreting tests, such as X-rays and MRI; prescribing medications; and assisting our doctors during surgery based on their specializations.

Our PAs and NP are trained to recognize when patients need the attention of a supervising doctor or additional specialist.
